Family Potluck

Recently my husband and I hosted a Family Reunion Potluck. When his grandparents were living they would gather the family that lived here in California and everyone would bring food and a good attitude. Since their passing the family started to drift apart. We thought it would be great to revive an old tradition. I sent out invitations and to my surprise almost everyone invited came. It was a blast! We decided to host this potluck every quarter, so 4 times a year I will be gathering recipes from my family and compiling a Family Reunion Cookbook. After the party I send the printed recipes to everyone who participated to add to their Cookbook that I gave to those who participated in the first potluck. I hope to keep this tradition going for many years to come. I think it is a great way to get my family and my husband's family together and really get to know one another. Our next one will be a costume potluck!
